I was born on January 28, 1974, in Brazil, and I grew up in Manhattan, NY. I went to college for a Bachelor's Degree in Economics at UFPB(not graduated) in Brazil, and I went to college for an Associate's Degree in Business at Hostos CUNY(not graduated) in NYC.
I was a Professional Bodyboarder from 1988 to 2013, in January 2001 I was invited to represent Brazil in the Pipeline Bodyboarding Championship, to stay for 3 months on the North Shore of Oahu/HI, and go back to Brazil to continue with my higher education and Bodyboarding competitions.
In April 2002 I came back to the US to visit Miami and New York City for the first time, I fell in love with NYC, and then I went back to Brazil for personal reasons.
On September 26, 2003, I came back to New York City where I've been living since. I lived in Harlem on 123rd St. and Lenox Av for the first two years, In 2004 I was the Overall East Coast Pro and Master Bodyboarding Champion in Kitty Hawk, NC.
In 2005 I moved to the Upper West Side on 95th St. and West End for a short time, and then I moved to the West Village on Jane St. and Washington Ave also for a short time, In the same year I went to Huntington Beach, CA to win the Master at the Bodyboarding US Open, and I went to Virginia Beach to win the Pro and Master at the East Coast Bodyboarding Championship, when I came back to NYC I moved to the Upper East Side on 80th St. and 1st Av where I lived for 2 years until I move to the North Shore of Oahu in 2007 to pursue my career in Bodyboarding for 6 years.
I moved back to NYC in 2013 to live at West 44th St and 8th Av in Hells Kitchen, one year later I moved back to the Upper West Side on Broadway and 98th St. where I lived for 4 years. In 2018 I moved to Brooklyn and I lived there until the end of pandemic. In 2021, I moved back to the Upper West Side on Amsterdam Av and 95th St. where I've been living since.
I consider myself a New Yorker because I learned how to be independent and live on my own here, over the years, I was a successful Pro Bodyboarder, but also I had to work as a construction worker, housekeeper, driver, delivery guy, dishwasher, busboy, waiter, bartender, host, maitre d', and manager to keep up with the cost of living in the city, but I learned that there's no other place I will rather be and Manhattan is where I feel the joy to be alive and thriving.
I founded the City Life Org in March 2020. When the pandemic hit us in April/May 2020 and New York City shut down, the City Life Org was the only thing I had to keep me busy. It was very hard to see the city that I love like a ghost town. At that moment I realized that I have a mission to serve the public with accurate news about City Life to bring joy to everyone who reads it and help them to keep moving forward during the pandemic, then I decided to launch the website to post articles, essays, and press releases about the things that I love the most: arts, culture, entertainment, education, technology, business, food & drinks, health, beauty, fashion, sports, travel, and environmental advocacy. A couple of months later I checked our Google Analytics to see that people from all over the world were visiting the City Life Org website every day, and a lot of people started to follow our social media pages, so all those things combined just motivate me to keep going strong with the organization. I never missed a day since I launched the website and now I dedicate myself full-time to the City Life Org mission. We are a one-person organization at the moment, I made our digital platform all by myself, and I keep it updated every day, We don’t have staff yet, but I count on the help and support of our contributors who send me articles, essays, and press releases to post daily. I’m very attached to details and excellence, so when you’re on the City Life Org website expect to see all commas, dots, paragraphs, images, etc. in the right places, and if you see that something is missed please let me know, I’m going to fix it the right way. I have many ideas and projects inside our organization, all to be launched at the right time, for now, I just think about the City Life Org 24/7, to make it the best experience for our readers. I’m very thankful for your support, and I promise to do the best I can to fulfill the City Life Org mission.
